What’s new in 6.0.0.40?
– Sub-second refreshes: Can now set the refresh rate under 1 second, as low as 100ms. Detects connections that open and close quickly.
– Fixed annoying bug where connection table would appear “jumpy” after updating options.
– Rewrote WikiPedia lookups, improved caching.
– WHOIS panel now clears input correctly when selecting a new connection.
– WHOIS lookup failures are now logged as a minor error.
– ARIN and Location details are no longer stored as log file data.
– ARIN status information is now shown in options, and the cache can be reset.
– Added a “Test Settings” button in Options for SMTP settings.
– Can now view EmergingThreats files, and information from Options.
– When auto-reselecting a connection, we now avoid hard lookups, unless the action is initiated from a user click.
– The View Alerts form is no longer topmost after clicking the Edit Rule button, which blocked further interaction.
– Added more validation and sanity-checking when adding a new rule. Overly broad rules are warned against.
– The X-NetStat Updater no longer panics when the NPcap or Wireshark setup UAC dialog is cancelled.
– Event Toolbar now shows the # of events.
– Minor-error events are now colored darker, in Crimson.
– Added Emerging Threats information in credits.txt
